VMEC Suspension - Software Quality Assurance Specialist

Work Arrangement

This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Markham Elevation Centre (MEC) three times per week, at minimum.

The Role

Join our Vehicle Mechatronic Embedded Controls (VMEC) team as a Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Specialist and play a key role in delivering world-class customer-facing features across GM’s portfolio of electric, internal combustion, and autonomous vehicles. In this dynamic role, you’ll define and drive quality metrics for advanced Suspension controls, ensuring software and hardware excellence through Agile practices and industry-leading standards. The SQA Specialist will contribute to the full lifecycle of testing and verification, including requirements development for laboratory (SIL / HIL) and in-vehicle testing, data analysis, and performance validation. Additionally, the role will develop automated test scripts in Python, leveraging production code, MATLAB Simulink models, and virtual plant models such as CarSim. This position plays a key role in enabling virtual testing platforms as part of GM’s VDDV 2025 initiative, ensuring industry-leading standards and regulatory compliance.
