Located at 3935 2nd Ave, Burnaby, BC V5C 3W9 , this full-time position offers a consistent Monday-to-Friday schedule, ensuring 40 hours per week with no weekend shifts.
Why this role matters
The Branch Support is responsible for filling in the administrative needs for the efficient and effective operations of the Branch. The Branch Support will be called upon to assist with warehouse duties, customer service, and general administration as directed by the Customer Service Manager.
What to expect in the role
Customer Service & Sales Support
Provide excellent customer service in person and over the phone.
Develop and maintain positive customer relationships.
Respond to customer inquiries and support branch sales staff.
Input customer orders for invoicing and maintain accurate documentation.
Manage will-call shelves and complete follow-up calls for customer pickups.
Assist with promotions and product displays at the counter.
Warehouse & Inventory Support
Assist in warehouse operations including receiving, unloading, stocking, and general warehouse keeping.
Move materials to correct bin or shelf locations.
Review packing slips noting shortages or damages and take appropriate action.
Assist with Return Material Authorizations (RMAs).
Review daily inventory cycle count results and confirm pick tickets.
Oversee zero bins and unconfirmed pick ticket reports.
Coordinate freight delivery needs as required.
Operational & Administrative Support
Support branch operational report card measures to company standards.
Prepare and deliver bank deposits and manage cash requirements.
Complete data entry and general office administration duties as assigned.
Maintain office equipment and create reports, emails, and spreadsheets as required.
Assist with ordering branch supplies and assembling customer orders.
Quality & Compliance
Identify and document quality issues through the nonconformance program.
Prevent recurrence of quality problems and control further processing when needed.
Contribute to corrective actions and verify implementation of solutions.
Ideal candidate profile
Experience in a warehouse and customer service environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
1+ years of electrical industry experience is a strong asset
Administration experience would be an asset
Computer skills with proficiency in MS Office & the ability to learn new software programs
Reliable transportation is required
High School Diploma
