Embedded Software Engineer

Overview

Akkodis is seeking an Embedded Software Developer for a contract position with a client in Ottawa or Waterloo (onsite). The role requires experience with embedded hardware and software design, knowledge of control theory and algorithm design, MATLAB / Simulink, Jira, and GitHub. Jama is a plus. Familiarity with CAN / Ethernet tools, AutoSAR, and Functional Safety ISO26262 is also desired.

Responsibilities

• Own and review requirements, create high-level functional specification design, and deliver quality code using MATLAB / Simulink or C in an AutoSAR Classic environment.
• Conduct design reviews for new content, resolve vehicle / breadboard software issues, and unit test content.
• Develop control algorithms and code for vehicle features related to climate, locking, lighting, alarms, windows, powered enclosures, and seats.
