Job Title : Mechanical Designer / EIT

Location : Calgary, Alberta

Salary : $75k - $100k (based on experience)

About Our Partner : Our client is a leading firm specializing in building design and consulting services. Committed to delivering innovative and sustainable solutions for their clients. They are currently seeking a Mechanical Designer / EIT to join their dynamic and growing team.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design Development : Collaborate with senior engineers to develop mechanical design solutions for various building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection.
  • Drafting and Modeling : Create detailed 2D and 3D models using industry-standard software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).
  • Analysis and Calculations : Perform engineering calculations to support design decisions, including load calculations and system performance analysis.
  • Project Coordination : Work closely with architects, electrical engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure integrated design solutions.
  • Documentation : Prepare and maintain project documentation, including specifications, drawings, and reports.
  • Site Visits : Conduct site assessments and inspections to support project implementation and ensure compliance with design specifications.

Qualifications :

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. EIT (Engineer in Training) certification is preferred.
  • Technical Skills : Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit , and other design software. Familiarity with building codes and standards.
  • Experience : 3-5+ years of industry experience .
  • Soft Skills : Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
