We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our team on a contract basis in Vancouver, British Columbia. In this role, you will oversee payroll functions for union and non-union employees, ensuring accurate and timely processing. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment while working closely with HR and other departments.
Responsibilities:
• Manage full-cycle payroll processing for union and non-union employees, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Review and reconcile employee timesheets to ensure accuracy before payroll submission.
• Process one-time bonus payments and oversee merit increases during designated pay periods.
• Collaborate with HR to address benefit-related inquiries and ensure seamless integration.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and generate reports using accounting software systems.
• Support the implementation and management of payroll software tools, including UKG Pro.
• Monitor and apply relevant regulations to payroll processes.
• Handle payroll-related queries from employees and provide timely resolutions.
• Assist in the preparation of payroll documentation for audits and compliance purposes.
• Work closely with other team members to address complex payroll issues and ensure smooth operations.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll administration or a related field.
• Proficiency in accounting software systems and payroll tools, such as Crystal Reports and UKG Pro.
• Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance standards.
• Strong knowledge of payroll functions, including payment processing and benefit administration.
• Ability to handle union and non-union payrolls with accuracy and efficiency.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for reporting and reconciliation purposes.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills to meet strict deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve payroll discrepancies.
