Manage an assigned group of categories that include Field construction and Engineering services, negotiate contracts, lead and coordinate competitions, issue purchase orders for Business Partner requests, manage supplier performance and provide specialized service for your category areas.
Major Responsibilities :
Collaboratively develop and issue competitive sourcing documents; lead processes to source variety Field Construction and Engineering services in accordance with ENMAX policy, standards and procedures.
Lead negotiations for price, delivery, commercial terms and conditions with Suppliers in conjunction with Business Unit.
Develop, negotiate, and manage contractual agreements which mitigate ENMAX’s risk and liabilities.
Create Purchase Orders based on Requisitions. Manage and resolve issues as required from creation through to close-out.
Expedite and manage Purchase Orders as required to support on-time project execution.
Identify and recommend opportunities to Business Units that will reduce ENMAX’s total cost of ownership and / or increase ENMAX’s profitability and efficiency, including consideration for industry best practices.
Recommend and implement appropriate sourcing strategies through a broad knowledge and detailed analysis of market conditions, ENMAX’s business requirements, risk and assessment of opportunities.
Coordinate and participate in business reviews and monitoring with Business Units to ensure ENMAX’s business objectives have been achieved and to validate the procurement strategy.
Conduct spend analysis, market analysis and benchmarking studies as required. Present findings and conclusions / recommendations to Business Units and suppliers, including demand plans.
Manage category procurements, identify contractual and supply market risk and work with management on mitigation strategies.
Complete Supply Chain project plans where applicable for large events.
Deliver high impact, formal presentations. Presents analysis, conclusions and recommendations in multiple formats (written, visual displays), tailoring the content to the needs of the audience.
Implement Supplier Relationship Management programs that enable the evaluation and monitoring of supplier performance through the development of performance objectives and measures recommended and developed by the Buyer. Support Business Units in addressing and resolving issues associated with performance delivery that fails to meet contractual standards.
Ensure procurement standards, policies and procedures are complied with at all times and educating stakeholders as required to ensure understanding.
Provide subject matter expertise / guidance to junior SCM roles as required to ensure standards are adhered to.
Provide operational backfill for SCM roles as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Experience :
University Degree or a Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Finance or other related discipline.
5+ years’ direct experience in Supply Chain Management.
Supply chain professional certification or designation (i.e. SCMP or equivalent) is considered an asset.
Strong knowledge of procurement processes such as sourcing and evaluation, contract education and administration.
Expertise in the application of Supply Chain policies, procedures, guidelines and tools in the performance of Supply Chain activities.
Strong background in RFx processes, including preparation, evaluation, and award.
Demonstrated experience negotiating contract and commercial terms, contract execution and administration / management, including fixed price, preferred vendor, cost plus, and single / sole source contracts.
Demonstrated experience in planning, organizing and managing projects.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in engineering, maintenance, and construction procurement categories.

Salary : Supply Chain Level C (Current CUPE 2024 rates)
102,086.35 - $108,454.35 - $114,842.18 - $121,210.18 - $127,598.02
Location : This role will be part of our hybrid (home and office) work force with office workspace located at ENMAX Place (141 - 50th Avenue SE, Calgary, AB). You will work from home on Mondays and Fridays and in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
