Job Title : Millwright (Plating Industry)

Pay rate : $30.00-$40.00 per hour
Shift timing : 8 : 00am-4 : 00pm Monday to Friday
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Millwright to join our plating operation in Etobicoke. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production equipment and facility systems, with a strong focus on plumbing and electrical work within an industrial plating environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment used in plating and finishing operations, including tanks, pumps, conveyors, hoists, and ventilation systems
- Perform extensive industrial plumbing work, including piping, valves, pumps, filtration systems, and chemical lines
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including motors, control panels, sensors, switches, and basic PLC-related issues
- Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure safe, efficient operation of equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues and implement effective corrective actions
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, environmental standards, and company procedures
- Support equipment upgrades, modifications, and new installations
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Work collaboratively with production and management teams to support operational needs
Qualifications
Certified Industrial Millwright (433A) or equivalent experience2+ years of experience as a Millwright in an industrial or manufacturing environment (plating or metal finishing experience is an asset)Strong hands-on experience with industrial plumbing systemsSolid electrical troubleshooting experience, including motors and control systemsExperience working around chemical processes and wet environments preferredAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong problem-solving and diagnostic skillsAbility to lift up to 50lbs and work in a physically demanding environmentWorking Conditions
