Nurse Consultant (Contract)

What Youll Do:

• Primary point of contact for patients which may include providing patients with education and guidance regarding healthy lifestyle navigation of the health care system and support and counseling regarding new diagnoses.

• Coordinate follow up care for patients including scheduling appointments and providing follow up care such as results and prescription renewals.

• Communication and explanation of results

• Case Management

• Triage prospective patient calls

• Onboarding and offboarding duties

• Collaborating with physicians and product for development of new programs

• Rotational weekend/evening nurse on call coverage

• Coordinate with others team to ensure exceptional delivery of service for all patients

What Youll Need:

• 3 years of nursing experience

• Experience in Womens Health Mens Health and/or Cardiovascular Health considered a strong asset

• Registered Nurse in good standing with Ontario College of Nurses

• Current CPR-Healthcare certificate

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Great organization and time management skills

• Intermediate level in MS Word Excel and Outlook

This is a 12 months contract role with full-time hours scheduled primarily during business hours Monday through Friday. Saturdays and Sundays may be required in the future. The role is accountable for on-call coverage on rotation with the team every 6-8 weeks. The position will be mostly remote with occasional on site meetings.

Position Pay Range:

Pay is determined based on your RN registration date.

• 1 year: $73777.60

• 2 years: $76003.20

• 3 years: $79851.20

• 4 years: $83158.40

• 5 years: $87235.20

• 6 years: $91249.60

• 7 years: $97926.40

• 8 years: $105.768.00

The above figures are based on an annual full-time salary. All amounts are in CAD.

Pay will be determined based on an analysis of the selected candidates experience and qualifications within our nursing grid. Medcans compensation ranges are determined by a combination of required qualifications and skills market value and internal equity. The above range pertains solely to the base compensation and is not inclusive of additional compensation details such as perks benefits and potential bonuses or incentives.
