Your Contribution

Your main responsibilities

Protostatix, a division of Englobe, is currently seeking Structural Engineers for our Edmonton office . We are also considering candidates for our Calgary office .

• Must be proficient in wood construction projects.
• Perform structural site investigations, inspections, reviews, gather data, and prepare technical reports, site review / inspection reports, and compliance letters.
• Describe existing structural conditions and provide engineering solutions through Structural Condition Assessments and engineering studies.
• Perform engineering calculations, analysis, and design of structural elements including concrete, steel, masonry, wood, light-gauge metal, and precast, adhering to the latest applicable building codes and standards.
• Manage and generate deliverables (drawings & specifications) for structural projects with accuracy and completeness.
• Manage projects to meet schedule and budget targets.
• Interact regularly with clients and contractors throughout project duration.
• Review designs and drawings from junior team members and engineers-in-training, providing mentorship and feedback.
• Review contractor submittals and shop drawings, developing design solutions and modifications as needed based on site conditions.
• Market our services to new and existing clients through business development initiatives.
• Apply and promote Englobe’s health and safety rules.
