As a Content Designer, you will greatly influence the content design of digital experiences that touch millions of Scotiabank customers every day. Your knowledge and expertise on digital project teams will ensure content and design meet business objectives and user needs, creating great user experiences.
Is this role right for you?
- Plan, write, edit, and improve content for a variety of web and mobile products, making them easier to use
- Write clear, consistent, and concise user-interface content, such as help articles, in-app notifications, release notes, and error messages, ensuring the tone and writing style express and elevate the brand voice
- Partner with designers, researchers, product managers, developers, and business lines to define content requirements and deliver compelling experiences
- Participate in design reviews and collaborate with product managers and designers on content strategy, concepts, navigation, and storytelling
- Working in an agile environment, help to identify and advocate for the best content processes or delivery methods in different multidisciplinary teams
- Plan ahead for upcoming deliverables; identify key stakeholders / considerations early and deliver high quality results
- Understand the needs of our customer and synthesize research outcomes into viable content and communication experiences
- Leverage communication channels to build relationships, inspire confidence, and influence decisions with your key stakeholders
- Analyze and interpret data effectively to inform decision making processes and build a solid understanding of customer pain points, needs, and expectations
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?
Bachelor's degree or higher in design, journalism, or communication5+ years of experience in UX writing, content design, content strategy, technical writing, or similarExpert communications skills with strong writing abilities — a sharp writer, creative thinker, and a superb editorAbility to work within style and brand guidelines with a desire to push existing standards to the next levelA fast learner who has an appetite to understand what's behind both simple and complex financial solutionsExperience working on scrum teams and collaborating with designers, developers, product owners, researchers, digital accessibility specialists, translation teams, and legal and complianceStrong interpersonal and relationship management skillsComfortable working within tight timeframes and with working creatively within specific constraintsProven multi-tasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects at onceFamiliarity in content management systems, Figma, and a strong understanding of collaboration suites such as SlackPrevious experience or interest in banking and financial servicesFrench and / or Spanish proficiency considered an assetWhat's in it for you?
