The Technician (General Labor) position is a career in field services in the property damage restoration industry. The position is primarily responsible for responding to emergency and property damaging situations. Our labor force is accountable for addressing the property and the customer with skill, knowledge, and professionalism. The position is accountable for preserving as much of the property as possible while working safely and efficiently on the job site.
Essential Functions / Responsibilities
- Work safely in residential and commercial properties that have been damaged by fire, water, storm, and / or mold
- Perform cleaning process for both contents and structural damage, as needed
- Removal of contents for cleaning or destruction. Pack outs and pack backs
- Demolition of structural damage to properties through the use of hand and power tools
- Clean up assigned job sites after demolition
- Perform initial site visits
- Conduct moisture inspections
- Set restoration equipment within guidelines
- Responsible for maintaining assigned vehicles and equipment
- Responsible for unloading and reloading assigned vehicles with equipment
- Keep equipment clean and organized in the shop
- Responsible for unloading trash in assigned areas
- Responsible for recording your time and coding it to the job assigned
- Pass IICRC certifications as IICRC classes are offered
- Hold our company’s Vision, Values, Mission and 10 Serving Basics throughout job position
- Valid drivers license
- All other duties as assigned
