Locations: 257 Main St, Antigonish, NS B2G, CAN; 175 Victoria St, New Glasgow, NS B2H, CAN; 11627 HWY-19, Mabou, NS B0E, CAN.

Reporting to the Manager, Business Services, the Account Manager, Business Services is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of small business members. This role is focused on delivering exceptional member experiences while providing credit solutions, conducting annual reviews, and supporting business development through strong relationship‑building.

You would…

• Adjudicate credit requests using JudiAI, the credit matrix, and traditional underwriting for small business members within the $200,000 limit.
• Compile complete loan packages, negotiate loan structure and terms (e.g., rates, repayment options), and ensure accuracy and compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure timely loan closing, disbursement, and that all required security documentation is in place.
• Prepare credit agreements and submit all required documentation to the Administration department for processing.
• Prepare loan renewals, payment extensions, substitutions of collateral, and releases of security for paid‑out loans.
• Initiate collection activity for delinquent accounts, contacting borrowers via phone, in person, or in writing to encourage repayment.
• Identify opportunities to further develop member relationships and refer members to the broader business services team or retail branch network as appropriate.
• Complete administrative documentation, reports, and internal follow‑ups as required.
• Complete other duties and projects assigned.
• Successfully completed a Business Degree with an emphasis in Business Administration or Commerce.
• At least two years of experience in a financial services environment, preferably in a lending or member‑facing role; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Exposure to credit adjudication, business banking, or commercial services is an asset.

• Able to work independently while contributing positively to team goals.
• Proficient with the Office 365 suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), with familiarity in core banking systems, lending platforms, and CRM tools.
