Home Support Worker

The Dhillon Family is looking for a Home Support Worker to care for their elderly relative at their residence.

These are the responsibilities of the position:

• Provide the elderly person with companionship and personal care at the employer’s home under the direction of family members
• Assist with regular exercise
• Shop for food and household supplies related to the elderly person
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and keep track of medications as prescribed by the doctor and under the supervision of family members.
• Assist with personal hygiene
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties related to the elderly person
• Perform other related duties as required.

Requirement

• Completion of secondary school.
• 7 -12 months of formal training or equivalent experience in a caregiving-related field
• Ability to communicate in English

Wages: $22.10/hr for 30 hours per week.

Work setting: Private home located near Bowery Rd and Oak Park Rd, Brantford, BC
