Responsibilities
Promote sales to existing clientsIdentify and solicit potential clientsAssess clients' needs and resources and recommend the appropriate goods or servicesProvide input into product design where goods or services must be tailored to suit clients' needsDevelop reports and proposals as part of sales presentation to illustrate benefits from use of good or serviceEstimate costs of installing and maintaining equipment or servicePrepare and administer sales contractsConsult with clients after sale to resolve problems and to provide ongoing supportMay train customers' staff in the operation and maintenance of equipmentMay conduct sales transactions through Internet-based electronic commerceMust participate in all training programs made available through Peterbilt or outside vendorsOther duties as assignedQualifications
5 years’ proven sales experienceExperience in heavy duty / medium duty trucks is an assetCompletion of Sales Training ProgramCompletion of Post-secondary certificate, diploma, or degree program is an assetKnowledge of heavy duty / medium duty truck inventoryKnowledge of MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)Good written and oral communication skillsStrong personal organizational skills as they relate to workload, time management and setting priorities in an unsupervised environmentEffective problem solving and negotiating skillsEffective conflict resolution skillsCompensation Rate
