Our esteemed client, a leading national business law firm, is growing its Paralegal team and is currently seeking a full-time Corporate Paralegal to join its Calgary office. This is an excellent opportunity for an intermediate-level Paralegal who is looking for a dynamic, engaging role within a collaborative and highly regarded firm.
What You’ll Do
Working closely with lawyers, Paralegals, and legal administrative professionals, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality legal services to a diverse client base. Your responsibilities will include :
- Preparing Alberta and federal incorporations, amendments, amalgamations, continuances, and dissolutions
- Managing ongoing corporate maintenance, including public companies, and preparing documentation for annual meetings, resolutions, and related filings
- Assisting with business name registrations, partnership and limited partnership registrations, and extra-provincial registrations
- Conducting due diligence and minute book reviews, preparing reports on issues and deficiencies, and drafting required updating documents
- Supporting corporate transactions, including drafting, organizing, and finalizing transaction documents, assisting with closings, and preparing closing books
- Ensuring compliance with applicable statutory requirements and providing input on corporate compliance matters
- Updating and maintaining information within the firm’s corporate database
What You Bring
A minimum of three to five years of intermediate-level corporate experience and CORES Level III certificationStrong knowledge of legal and technical procedures, statutes, regulations, and applicable governmental practicesExcellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with a high level of attention to detailThe ability to manage competing deadlines, work effectively within a team environment, and provide exceptional client serviceComfort with evolving technology and strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and ExcelPrior experience with iManage, Intapp, and 3E, or similar document management and timekeeping systemsExperience with corporate data management cloud-based software (MinuteBox preferred) is considered an assetWhat Our Client Offers
