Overview

West Fraser is recruiting an entry‑level employee for its El Mountain sawmill facility located in Edson, Alberta. The role is full‑time and offers an opportunity to start a career in the wood‑product manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

• Sort, stack and pile lumber
• Handle and lift materials
• Operate production equipment as assigned
• Assist other processing workers
• Maintain and clean sawmill equipment, promptly reporting any malfunctions or issues to the team
• Perform general labourer duties and repetitive tasks
• Strictly adhere to company safety standards and follow safe‑work practices such as lock‑out and pre‑task hazard assessments
• Stand for extended periods as required
