Corteva has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Millwright to join our team at our Lethbridge, AB site.
What You Will Do :
- You will always work safely and follow all safety policies and procedures to ensure you and your colleagues go home safely every day.
- As a maintenance team member, your primary role will be to support production operations through the maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of various mechanical systems and equipment.
- Ensure the operation of company equipment, including, but not limited to mechanical, electrical and control devices.
- Perform mechanical repairs, service, troubleshooting, and scheduled equipment inspections, following the prescribed guidelines and procedures.
- Review and assist program leaders and teams with the mechanical safety programs to ensure adherence.
- Adhere to all quality systems & safety procedures, including environmental regulations.
- Make recommendations for improved safety through mechanical programs and / or process changes.
- Team members will be required to work with the maintenance supervisor, coordinator and specialist on work queues, work orders and projects.
- Help organize and plan work, including conducting seasonal prep work.
- Assist maintenance team members with their daily work tasks as needed.
- Assist production team members with their daily work tasks as needed.
- Various other duties as required by the needs of the business.
Qualifications
What Skills You Need :
High school diploma or equivalent requiredAlberta Millwright Journeyman certificate or Interprovincial Red Seal Millwright Journeyman certificateAn attitude of curiosity. Willing to be mentored and willing to mentor professional skills as applicable to daily tasks.Valid Class “5” driver’s license required and able to obtain a driver’s abstract.Industrial millwright maintenance work experienceKnowledge and experience troubleshooting mechanical issues related to motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and HVAC are required.Perform lubrication tasks and preventative maintenance tasks on factory assets.Weld, repair and fabricate equipment as needed.General knowledge and some experience troubleshooting electrical issues related to motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and HVAC are required.A general understanding of PLC automation (Allen Bradly) and ladder logic is an asset.You are willing and able to do the following with or without reasonable accommodation : Climb and / or work in elevated areas, Stand and sit for extended periods, and Work both outdoors and indoors in hot, cold, wet, and dry conditions.You are comfortable with technology, possess good computer aptitude, and are willing and able to learn other company-specific applications as required.Experience using an electronic maintenance module such as SAP R3 is an asset.Lift up to 50 lbs. and perform work involving repetitive motion and / or lifting.You have good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.You maintain an organized workplace and have excellent critical thinking skills.You will always work safely and follow all safety policies and procedures to ensure you and your colleagues go home safely every day.Willing and able to work rotating day and evening shifts.Willing and able to work overtime / weekends / holidays when needed.Scheduled on-call coverage required during seasonal peaks.Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.
