Who we need

Emphasys, an Aquila company since 2008, is the largest full-service provider to serve the public housing, housing finance, and redevelopment marketplace. We are looking for a Project Manager with outstanding client management skills to join us as we scale. You will lead multiple new software implementations, act as a trusted advisor, and ensure an exceptional implementation experience for our clients.

What you will focus on :

  • On-time delivery of implementation projects. You will create project plans by working with Product and Dev Managers to assign resources and identify deliverables. You will drive the project forward, monitoring changes to the scope, issuing communications, and working closely with stakeholders. You will :

Coordinate, negotiate, and monitor all activities and resources based on the contract terms and SOW.

  • Ensure the achievement of the deliverables by evaluating scope changes.
  • Track milestones, identifying deviations to plan and other issues to the team.
  • Run weekly and monthly meetings with internal and external stakeholders, providing updates on progress, facilitating conversations, and resolving issues.
  • Relationship management . You will build a reputation as a trusted advisor, influencing decision-makers, managing expectations, and ensuring clients are satisfied at every stage.
  • Team performance. You will set clear expectations, remove barriers, and ensure expectations are exceeded. You will motivate, manage, and coach team members, analyzing metrics / KPIs to identify team performance issues proactively.
  • Continuously work to improve delivery . You will take the initiative to promote best practices to all parts of the business to ensure we deliver.
  • Internal projects. You will meet with project sponsors to understand business needs, create project plans, and monitor resources and deliverables.

    • What you bring :

  • Experience. You have a solid understanding of project management principles, having worked on multiple financial / loan systems or ERP implementation projects on the provider or client side. You have experience identifying resources, creating project plans and objectives, and keeping projects moving forward.
  • A wide-angle lens. You enjoy working on big-picture strategic planning but realize the importance of small details in achieving your goals. You are flexible but process-focused and know how to balance urgency with long-term payoff. You are on a continuous search for improvements and strive to solve issues proactively.
  • An analytical approach . You are metrics-driven, setting, and tracking expectations and the progress of your projects. You can predict if your team’s assigned tasks will be completed on time. You believe in measurable quality and efficiency.
  • A breadth of leadership skills. You can inspire, support, develop, and challenge a team. You believe in listening to the ideas of your team and respecting their expertise. You can confidently push forward your agenda resulting in the high performance of your team.
  • Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills. You are concise, on point, and impactful. You know how to listen and how to be understood. You have the insider’s track on how to work effectively with senior leaders and decision-makers with conflicting timelines.
