JOB OVERVIEW

Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dynamic, strategic and results-driven professional to join our team in the role of Trades Management Supervisor - Maintenance.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Refurbishment Construction and Execution, is responsible for the planning, scheduling, and supervision of a team of Electrical and Control Technicians and Union Trades Supervisors performing refurbishments on hydroelectric generating units. Work involves the refurbishment and installation of equipment such as protection and control panels, high voltage switchgear, high voltage step-up transformers, generators, exciters, current transformers (CTs), potential transformers (PTs), and capacitive voltage transformers (CVTs).

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Plan, schedule, and supervise a team of Electrical and Control Technicians and Union Trades Supervisors.
• Oversee refurbishment projects on hydroelectric generating units.
• Manage the installation and commissioning of protection and control panels.
• Supervise work involving high voltage switchgear and step-up transformers.
• Coordinate the refurbishment and installation of generators and exciters.
• Oversee the installation of current transformers (CTs), potential transformers (PTs), and capacitive voltage transformers (CVTs).
• Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company standards and policies.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to team members throughout all project phases.
