DESCRIPTION

Our AI Center of Excellence builds data-driven automation capabilities to support core operations at global scale. We leverage off the sciences of data, information processing, machine learning, and generative AI to improve user experience, automation, service resilience, and operational efficiency. Our work expands AI-driven capabilities of our businesses in primarily Retail and IT with global impact.

Key job responsibilities

As a Sr. TPM, you coordinate the delivery of ML / AI solutions to our partners. You develop high-impact programs of strategic relevance with the objective to accelerate AI-capabilities for our products and businesses. You sort priorities, dive deep into details, and define the processes that improve team operation and program execution. You help teams identifying technical requirements and provide actionable recommendations to mitigate risks. You follow-up and manage cross-collaborative commitments towards successful execution of AI-initiatives. You are an advocate of science / engineering best practices with ability to execute programs with agility and pragmatism. You work with legacy and future products / programs. You drive business and progress reviews, connecting our team to stakeholders and leadership. You influence the business and recommend next step initiatives supported by data. You help our team and partners to connect, working backwards from our common AI-centric mission and objectives.

A day in the life

You work in a high-paced innovation environment, where you own aspects of the end-to-end development of AI-driven products. You work in the intersection of business, science, and engineering. You disambiguate use cases and technical conditions from concept to launch together with product owners, scientists, and engineering partner teams. You work around challenges and obstacles to help unblocking involved teams, and you use sound judgement to adapt and adjust program execution. You report progress, key metrics, and provide recommendations for the next steps to management and stakeholders.

We work back to back to address the technical challenges of automation, service resilience, and operational efficiency across a variety of products, softwares, and systems. Our scientists and machine learning engineers work in synergy to solve hard problems, enriching each other's skills. Together, we are a powerful team of specialists in EU and NA bringing the potential of practical ML and AI to the max with impact on millions of Amazon customers.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations :

Vancouver, BC, CAN

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
  • 3+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with science and software engineering teams experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
  • Experience defining KPI's / SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
  • Experience leading highly technical programs involving infrastructure, complex systems, systems engineering
  • Experience in driving ML / AI-programs in complex systems and production environments with technical understanding of machine learning
