Description

• Permanent casual position (4 shifts per month).
• Free LASIK surgery, 3 weeks of vacation, 3 sick days, 1 floater, and 1 wellness day.

Your tasks at a glance

• Thoroughly prepare the OR for surgery: instruments, consumables, medications, and record all used materials.
• Organize instruments, equipment, and the sterile scrub table as required.
• Assist the ophthalmologist during procedures.
• Monitor the surgery to ensure sterility is maintained.
• Complete all administrative tasks (chart notes, verbal or written communication, and required forms).
• Support the organization’s Risk Management program by reporting patient safety concerns and incidents to clinic management.
• Perform any other tasks requested by the center director or management team.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse, in good standing with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Perioperative certification or 10+ years of operating‑room experience.
• Experience in ophthalmology and/or optometry is an asset.
• Strong interest in health and high‑tech devices.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build trust.
• Meticulous, precise, rigorous, patient, and detail‑oriented.
• Thrives in a dynamic, team‑based environment.

Schedule & Location

• Flexible work availability Monday–Saturday, one shift per week (typical shift 7:30 AM–4:00 PM).
