We are currently looking to add experienced Desktop Auto Adjusters to our team! This role can work remotely or in a hybrid work model.

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate should have experience in Commercial Auto Property Damage claims.

• Analyze and interpret insurance policy wording to determine coverage and assess entitlements which are fair and equitable
• Communicate in a timely and respectful manner with the customer, brokers, claimants, lawyers and other insurers to resolve claims.
• Investigate and settle complex losses
• Manage losses throughout Canada
• Ensure all cases are clearly documented and meet any or all legislative requirements
• Provide technical guidance and consultation to customers, brokers on risk management and control pertaining to trucking and commercial auto accounts
• Conduct evaluations and assessments of commercial auto operations for existing and/or potential business
• Formulate verbal and written recommendations based on technical expertise to help improve the account as required
• Translate assessment findings into a report that supports the commercial auto accounts
• As a representative of the company, provide quality customer service and experience to insureds and brokers as well as to internal customers such as claims adjusters and managers
• Maintain knowledge expertise in commercial auto operations
• Stay abreast to the knowledge of changes in provincial regulations and industry standards

Qualifications & Experience:

• A college diploma or a university degree is an asset
• Minimum of 3 years' experience adjusting Commercial auto claims.
• Long- Haul Trucking and Dealership claims an asset (but not required)
• Ability to handle or oversee moderate to complex claims
• Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Knowledge of the provincial legislation governing auto insurance
• Great communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
• Driven with self-initiation and good problem-solving skills
• Customer focused and results driven
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PP)
• Adjuster’s license or have completed a minimum of the first four CIP courses as follows:
• C11: Principles and Practice of Insurance
• C12: Insurance on Property
• C13: Insurance Against Liability—Part 1
• C14: Automobile Insurance—Part 1
• C110: Essentials of Loss Adjusting
