A leading national Real Estatepany is seeking a new Assistant Controller, based in their Edmonton offices.

Your new role

The Assistant Controller provides day-to-day financial expertise across the organization, working closely with the Controller and other key management in supporting the strategic mission, vision, and goals of thepany. The position is primarily accountable for all matters related to accounting, including financial reporting, maintenance of thepany’s general ledger, and ensuring that all transactions and documentationply withpany policy and regulatedernment bodies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential property management and a deep understanding of full-cycle accounting systems. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient operation of accounting in a fast-growingpany, as well as ensuring that checks and balances are in place and being adhered to. This position fully supports the accounting department and the operations teams to ensure seamlessly accurate and timely financial information.

What you'll need to succeed

Qualifications :

• Experience :

Minimum of 5 years of experience in residential property management.

College level degree, diploma, or certificate in Property Management, Engineering, Accounting, or a related field preferred.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, andmunication skills. Ability to function in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a sense of urgency.

In-depth knowledge of residential property management is preferred.

Having or actively seeking a CPA designation is desirable.
