Primary Responsibilities
Contributes to the plans associated with the software development of features. Executes the design, development, deployment, and operation of cloud-based services. Contributes to prioritization of new features versus technical debt resolutionHold high standards in writing quality scalable and supportable code, complete with appropriate unit tests, automated testing, documentation, and operationalization aspects in a CI / CD environmentCreation of documentation and adhering to standardsProvides technical leadership to implement new functionality and improvements to existing implementationsProvides training and mentoring to other team members in areas of expertiseInterface with user representatives or other engineering groups to define requirements and / or necessary modifications when requiredProactively collaborates with other teams to resolve roadblocks and ensure smooth deliveryLead by example and use your technical expertise and perspective to drive innovationContinuously identify and highlight areas of improvement that will grow a team to be more responsive and adaptable to changesTo be part of on call rotation to support production issuesYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma / GED (or higher)3+ years of professional software development experience in designing and building complex, highly scalable, performant, secure, reliable software systems and tools, ideally within cloud-native environment2+ years of hand-on experiences in C# and .NET2+ years of Database experience with NoSQL such as Couchbase, NGINX or similar, as well as microservices architecture and developing containerized application1+ years of experience in Public Cloud (AWS, GCP, or Azure)Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the healthcare industry working with DICOM, HL7, FHIRExperience designing, creating, and securing APIs; Web Services (REST / JSON), OAuth, JWT, WS-Security, SAMLExperience with GithubProven solid knowledge of data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, and asynchronous architectureProven knowledge and experience working in Public Cloud (GCP, AWS, Azure)Proven knowledge and experience working with Docker, KubernetesDemonstrated understanding of data modeling and database theory (ACID, CAP etc.)Proficiency with TDD and CI / CD processesDemonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast paced environmentProven leadership abilities in an engineering environment in driving operational excellence and best practicesAll employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter PolicyCanada Residents Only : The salary range for Canada residents is $63,300 to $131,500 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
