MatchBox Consulting Group is urgently searching for a Senior Business Analyst, Security Operations for a 3- month contract role (37.5 hours per week) for our BC based public sector client. This is a fully remote position for BC based candidates

Required Skills

Knowledge of IIBA Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK) knowledge areas and techniques.

Minimum 6+ years of dedicated BA experience at the Senior level.

Experience working with business users and subject matter experts to produce comprehensive requirements, gap analysis, current and future state design, and other analysis.

Certifications preferred : CBAP, Six Sigma, PMP, ScrumMaster or Product Owner certification.

An equivalent combination of education and / or experience may be considered.

Preferred Skills

Candidates with lived experiences with Tibco, Splunk, building enterprise logging strategies / models, and related implementation will be ranked more highly.

Solid skills in eliciting, creating and managing requirements, gained through applied work experiences (Waterfall, Scrum, Kanban).

Process modelling.

Workshop planning and facilitation.

Business case development.

Expertise in collaborating and managing successful delivery with external IT development partners.

Intermediate to expert user of Visio, JIRA, and Confluence.

Exceptional written, verbal communication and presentation skills.

Exceptional problem solving and analytical thinking / innovation, and development of contingency plans for risks.

SERVICES

Provide core support on a division wide initiative to reduce technical debt from fragmented enterprise logging practices and architecture. Candidate will work across a variety of agile teams to understand challenges and opportunities. These range from early-stage scope planning, analysis and documentation to support design of future state enterprise logging process, assess

impacts of TIBCO decommissioning, and interactions with Splunk infrastructure required to develop a robust system to support debugging, operations, and security monitoring of systems.

Provide operational support, and a variety of other analysis or team needs as required. The analyst will operate within either a waterfall, agile environment or a hybrid environment, and requires a proactive mindset and close collaboration with both internal and external vendor stakeholders.

Partner with the Product owners / Business leads / Project Manager on road mapping, stakeholder engagement, scope management and prioritization.

Build and execute a solid business analysis (BA) approach to elicit, analyze and document / refine detailed user needs in user stories or other supporting artifacts as appropriate (working with

internal stakeholders, vendors, other agile teams, etc.).

Support in detailed system and user analysis needs and gaps and ensure proper documentation to

Support development team to understand needs and dependencies.

Facilitate to guide conversations (requirement sessions, process design sessions, refinement meetings, sprint planning, retro, standup, etc.).
