Salary : $800 / week

Earthbound Kids is a seasonal summer camp and riding stable with two locations serving children and youth ages 4-16. Our programs include day camps, overnight camp, riding lessons, leadership programs, and outdoor education programs. The programs we offer have a strong emphasis on farming and environmental education.

We are looking for mature and caring cabin counsellors for our Schomberg, Ontario location, for the summer of 2023. Cabin counsellors will manage the supervision, care and safety of campers. This person is responsible for the day-to-day well-being of up to 8 campers. The position involves, working alongside Stable & Instructional staff, introducing campers to horse-back riding and the care of horses.

The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, in a farm environment. A love for animals and working with children is a necessity.

Responsibilities :

The successful candidate is required to live on site in the camper cabin from Sunday afternoon to Friday afternoon and provide a safe, fun and inclusive environment including :

• Supervision of all campers in their care
• Emotional and physical support to campers in their care
• Reacting appropriately to accidents and incidents
• Recording and documenting accidents and incidents
• Assisting in the delivery of exciting day and evening programming
