Job Description

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? The Senior Manager, Incident Management supports RBC’s responsibility to manage RBC’s Duty of Care and Duty of Warn programs for all employees globally. Additionally, you will support the design, implementation, and management of a full range of security policies, programs and resources across the globe with a focus toward continuous improvement and innovation to deliver a “Best in Class” global security program. WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Manage RBC’s Duty of Care and Duty of Warn for all employees globally.
  • Responsible for the intake, triage, and management of security incidents (Robbery, Active Shooter, Kidnap, Hostage & Extortion, Workplace Violence, Aggressive & Abusive individuals) across the organization.
  • To provide subject matter expert advice, and security and life safety guidance to management at all levels.
  • Support the design, implementation and management of a full range of security policies, programs and resources across the globe with a focus toward continuous improvement and innovation to deliver a “Best in Class” global security program.
  • Provide SME oversight of contracted security resources in order to provide the most cost effective and world class program.
  • Contributes to security related communications, promotes security awareness, designs and maintains communication channels to facilitate the distribution of time sensitive security information.
  • Supports relationships with outside providers who support safety and emergency response.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED? Must have :

  • Progressive career in corporate security and strong experience managing Duty of Care, Duty to Warn scenarios
  • Delivering Workplace Violence / Conflict Management training
  • Good analytical skills, effective problem solving abilities, with good judgment and discretion in order to provide immediate direction in emergency situations globally
  • Ability to work within a flexible working environment that involves a staggered shift structure to support operational hours and 24 / 7 on-call support on a rotational basis
  • Fluency in both French and English in order to serve internal stakeholders
  • Nice-to-have :

  • Post Secondary education from a recognized college or university.
  • ASIS CPP “Certified Protection Professional” Certification
  • This role, which is both client-facing and involves frequent interaction with our head office in Toronto, requires fluency in both French and English in order to communicate effectively with the people you serve and the broader RBC team.
