As anIntern Product and Data Engineering youll be paired with an experienced Software Developer as your mentor who will be your guide asyou learn our wide range of technologies while becoming a coredeveloper onone ofour product leverage preferredtechnologies to deliver software solutions to ourpension andinvestment professionals andas well astools to enhance our internal development your time at Ontario Teachers youll also have time to explore new technologies unrelated to your regular project work and deliver presentations on those technologies as well as other project work to our development the midpoint of the term you will transition to a new team providing exposure to different technologies team members and solutions.

Working in a fast-paced team environment you will have the opportunity to make meaningful contributions to the IT teams work. Be more than a code-churner or gopher; be part of a group where your input isvaluedand your solutions are used. Make a difference in the Product or Data Engineering teams!

Who youll work with

Collaboration is integral to your work atOntarioTeachersand youll be working with people as much as youll be working with an Engineeringteamyou will work in a small project team delivering software solutions. With support from a mentor you will have the opportunity to engage with colleagues from across theorganization;such as business leads the project delivery team and other technical specialists within the architecture development and infrastructure teams .

What youll do

• Collaboratewith your team members and customerson defining the solution architecture and design
• Develop and integrate software solutions and technical tools
• Deliver business services using technologies such as JavaSpring C#.NET and Python
• Learn the real-world usage of version control and code reviews (GitHub) automated build (Jenkins) and continuous integration
• Track your work using our issue tracker (JIRA) and share your designs on our wiki (Confluence)
• Participate in new technology investigationand apply this knowledge through solution deliveryor internal hackathons

Compensation :

The expected hourly range for this role is $30 - $33 depending on experience and qualifications.
