Responsibilities
- Service and maintain medium and heavy‑duty trucks and mounted hydraulic equipment
- Maintain service documentation records and complete reports of work performed
- Review work orders and establish priorities with Garage Foreman
- Ensure the schedule for vehicle and equipment repairs are fulfilled as assigned
- Trouble shoot and maintain hydraulic and electric systems
- Continuously learn in welding, fabricating, and grinding, and gas and electric systems
- Perform all duties in compliance with all policies, procedures and safety regulations
- Maintain a valid driver’s license to pick up, deliver and test vehicles
- Required to provide own tools
Qualifications and Requirements
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience working on heavy duty trucks or heavy‑duty equipmentHigh School Diploma requiredRelated Technical Trade 310T Certificate is preferred though apprentices are also eligibleKnowledge of utility equipment is an assetHydraulic experience is an assetWelding experience is an assetValid Driver’s License – Driver Abstract will be requestedStrong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of heavy equipment, trucks and trailersAccuracy diagnosing mechanical issuesAble to work independently and as part of a teamCleanliness in working environmentExcellent problem‑solving skills as it relates to trucks and equipmentStrong communication skills
