Workday Test Analyst

Contract Length : 6+ months (likely extension)

Hours : 40 hours per week

Location : Toronto, ON (Hybrid)

Office Requirement : 1 to 2 days per week onsite in Toronto

Role Overview

We are looking for a Workday Test Automation Consultant to support a Workday programme by automating test scripts using the Kainos Worksmart testing framework. This is a contract position for an experienced tester who can take existing manual test scenarios and convert them into reliable automated scripts, while working closely with the wider Workday delivery team.

Key Responsibilities

• Automate Workday test scripts using Kainos Worksmart
• Review existing test scripts and improve coverage, reusability, and maintainability
• Execute automated test runs and support defect triage with functional teams
• Maintain test documentation and update scripts as Workday configuration changes
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to agree testing approach, timelines, and priorities
• Support key project milestones including onsite working in Toronto 1 to 2 days per week
• Proven experience as a Workday Tester (functional testing within Workday programmes)
• Hands-on experience using Kainos Worksmart (must have)
• Experience automating test scripts and supporting automated execution cycles
• Strong understanding of Workday business processes and end-to-end testing (SIT and UAT support)
• Confident working with stakeholders to clarify test scope and outcomes
• Able to work 40 hours per week and attend the Toronto office 1 to 2 days per week
• Experience working on Workday deployments with a Workday partner environment (Kainos or similar)
• Knowledge of defect management processes and tools (Jira or similar)
• Prior experience improving test frameworks, test data approach, or regression packs
• Experience across either Workday HCM, Workday Financials, or both
