Description de posteMust be a Certified CGSB Level 2 Inspector (VT, UT and MT). Minimum of 5 years of shop inspection experience (vendor surveillance). Ideal candidate would have steel structure inspection experience. Detail oriented and well organized Strong analytical and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment as part of a team, as well as independently Proven time management skills and a strong attention to detail. Work schedule : 8 hours a day, starting in January 2026 for at least a year. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. The contractor will need to provide their own equipement. The contractor needs to be an independent contractor (IC)
Job Description
SGS is looking to hire a Certified CGSB Level 2 Inspector (VT, UT, MT) as an independent contractor for a QA / QC assignment that will start in January 2026 and last one year. The exact location is Princeton, Ontario.
Scope of work includes :
- Review of workmanship on steel fabrication for conformance with project specifications and Review of fitting Dimensional Checks
- Visual Examination - 100% of all welds.
- Ultrasonic Test Method - 100% of all complete penetration welds.
- Magnetic Particle Test Method – 100% of all filet welds.
- Inspection of Bolts of Slip-Critical and not slip critical or pre-tensioned connections
