Engineering Co-op Student (Entry Level)
Position Overview
Ecora Consultants is looking for a motivated Engineering Co-op Student to join our multidisciplinary engineering team. This is an ideal opportunity for a current engineering student who is eager to gain hands-on experience in a professional consulting environment while applying classroom knowledge to real-world projects.
In this role, you will support our engineers and project teams on a variety of infrastructure and development projects. You will gain exposure to engineering design, technical documentation, and project coordination while learning industry standards, software, and best practices.
Key Responsibilities1. Engineering Support & Project Assistance
Assist engineers with technical tasks related to ongoing projects under supervision.
Support the preparation of engineering designs, calculations, drawings, and reports.
Help collect, organize, and review project data and field information.
Participate in internal project meetings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
2. Documentation & Data Management
Assist with maintaining organized project files, drawings, and technical documentation.
Support the preparation and revision of plans, specifications, and other deliverables.
Perform basic data entry and quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Help track project tasks and deadlines as assigned.
3. Learning & Development
Gain hands-on experience using industry-standard engineering software and tools.
Learn about consulting workflows, project lifecycles, and professional engineering practices.
Work closely with experienced engineers and receive mentorship and guidance.
Develop technical, communication, and teamwork skills in a professional setting.
QualificationsEducation & Experience :
Currently enrolled in an accredited Engineering program
Eligible for a registered Co-op or internship program through your post-secondary institution.
Previous co-op, internship, or relevant summer work experience is an asset but not required.
Skills :
Strong interest in engineering design and problem-solving.
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Willingness to learn new software and technical tools.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
Bonus Points : Exposure to CAD, GIS, or other engineering software is an assetbut we're happy to train enthusiastic students who are ready to learn!
