The Advanced Design group leads the conceptual studies and preliminary design of all new products at Bombardier. The team is also heavily involved in research projects covering various new technologies that will shape the future of aerospace.
During your internship, you will contribute to :
Help develop and validate various software tools developed with the Advanced Design departmentDevelop conceptual design toolParticipate in the Multidisciplinary Optimization tools developmentBenchmark disciplinary environment with state-of-the-art researchParticipate in feasibility and trade studies of new aircraft design softwareDuring your internship, you will learn :
The importance of multidisciplinary design optimization tools in the design of new productsTo use different programming languages and development environmentsHow to participate in the early phases of the development of new aircraft conceptsTo work as a cohesive team with experts from different technical disciplinesWhat we are looking for :
You are currently enrolled in a university level aerospace engineering program or equivalent (e.g. mechanical engineering, computer engineering, computer sciences, etc.)You have completed at least two years of the programYou show a keen interest in aerospace in general and aircraft design in particularYou show a keen interest for software development, with a good knowledge of the Python programming language. Familiarity with dash is an asset;You are familiar with other programming languages (C / C++, Matlab, Fortran)You are motivated, curious and independentYou are familiar and comfortable with Microsoft OfficeBoarding Information :
