Associate, Investor Relations & Capital Operations
Location: Toronto (In-Office)
We are seeking a self-motivated Associate, Investor Relations to support our client service and capital formation objectives. This is a brand new, in-person role, based in our Toronto office, and requires excellent analytical and communication skills, strong attention to detail, and an interest in private markets investing. The ideal candidate is a highly resourceful team player who is organized and self-motivated, with the ability to prioritize and take ownership of a variety of projects.
Key Responsibilities
Investor Onboarding & Capital Operations
- Own the end-to-end onboarding process for new investors across multiple private market vehicles, including KYC/AML coordination, subscription documentation, compliance checks, investor portal setup, and custodial workflows.
- Track, reconcile, and maintain accurate records of new capital inflows by investor, vehicle, platform, and distribution channels, ensuring consistency across internal systems, fund administrator records, and custodial platforms.
- Maintain internal AUM reporting and capital dashboards to support management reporting, forecasting, and capital-raising initiatives.
Regulatory, Platform & Administrator Coordination
- Complete filings in accordance with the Ontario Securities Commission to maintain regulatory compliance
- Coordinate closely with fund administrators, accounting partners, and custodians to ensure accuracy of month-end and quarter-end reconciliations and investor statements.
- Support platform onboarding, working cross-functionally with legal, compliance, and external service providers.
Investor Communications & Reporting
- Serve as a primary point of contact for investor inquiries, proactively managing communications and ensuring a high-quality LP experience.
- Own the firm’s investor data rooms, ensuring accurate, up-to-date offering materials, legal documentation, reporting, and due diligence content with appropriate version control.
Institutional Support & CRM Ownership
- Lead the completion of due diligence questionnaires (DDQs) and other information requests from prospective and existing institutional investors.
- Maintain CRM integrity, ensuring accurate tracking of investor relationships, commitments, funded capital, and historical activity to support business development efforts.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field with a strong academic record.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in investor relations, asset management, private equity, real estate, infrastructure, investment banking, accounting, or a related field supporting institutional or HNW investors.
- Strong understanding of private market fund structures, investor onboarding processes, and capital flows.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-starter with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and strong sense of ownership.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience with Pipedrive or a comparable CRM system.
- Willingness to travel occasionally, if required.
