Temporary Maintenance Manager

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a Temporary Maintenance Manager to join The Gardens team in Qualicum Beach, B.C.

Shifts

Monday to Friday 9:30 am to 5:30 pm. Sometimes on call (emergency) so preferably to live close by.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in building or facility maintenance.
• Knowledge of and capability to complete tasks relating to general painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and gardening.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Ability to maintain a checklist record of maintenance routines
• Ability to communicate professionally with residents, staff, and visitors
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs, move furniture, pick up deliveries from hardware stores
• Must be physically fit, adaptable, and is an effective team member

DUTIES

• Inspects operating condition of all equipment daily.
• Inspects alarm, call, and security systems and logs information daily.
• Diagnoses equipment malfunctions
• Ensures the safety of the building, equipment, staff, and residents.
• Complete general repairs to electrical, plumbing, and other building components commensurate with the capabilities of an experienced maintenance trade person
