Job Title : Fitter

Job Description

The fitter role involves starting each day with a toolbox meeting to evaluate project progress and prioritize urgent requirements. Fitters are expected to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to lay out, fit, and assemble structural steel components for commercial, institutional, and industrial projects.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Lay out, fit, and assemble structural steel components.
• Cut, drill, punch, bend, roll, or press steel using metalworking machines and cutting torches.
• Assemble metal sections and plates into units and sub-units.
• Fasten components using mechanical methods or tack welding in preparation for final welds.
• Operate overhead cranes.
• Perform welding using MCAW, FCAW, and SMAW processes.
