Description
Reporting to the Regional Manufacturing Director prior to facility commissioning then Plant Manager after plant startup. The Procurement Coordinator will perform systematic and administrative tasks related to the construction, startup and general procurement duties related to plant operation. This role also ensures compliance with Operations Procurement processes, including handling contracts and insurance during operation.

Job Responsibilities
Analyze market in order to assess present and future material availability and determine cost effective procurement strategies for the company.Locate vendors of materials, equipment or supplies, and interview them to determine product availability and terms of salesImplement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and proceduresParticipate in the development of specifications for equipment, products or substitute materialsResolve vendor or contractor grievances, and claims against suppliersReview purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policyAdminister on-line purchasing systemsArrange for disposal of surplus materialsMaintain records of goods ordered and receivedPrepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies, services, equipment and raw materials for both production related materials and production related servicesEnsure purchased items are delivered timely and as specified on the purchase orderRepresent company in negotiating with suppliers directly, in person, in writing, or by telephone or e-mailAnalyze market in order to assess present and future material availability and determine cost effective procurement strategies for the company.Support inventory control of finished goodsWork directly with Maintenance Coordinator to support maintenance activities and spare parts procurementSupport plant with HSE audit requirements including internal and external reportingQualifications
Post-Secondary Degree / Diploma in Business or Supply Chain3+ years of experience in a procurement role.Strong problem solving and analytical skills with diligence and accuracy.Very task oriented to achieve objectives with a strong desire to learn.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong Microsoft Office skills and knowledge of Power BI is an assetExperience with JDE or similar ERP systemNote : This is a Safety Sensitive position
