Humane World for Animals Canada is seeking a dynamic and passionate
GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The senior campaign manager (wildlife) is responsible for the successful development, coordination and implementation of Humane World for Animals Canada and Humane World Foundation Canada wildlife protection programs. The senior campaign manager’s responsibilities include development of program strategies, management of program implementation, content development, representation of our entities and relevant programs, participation in fundraising and identification of potential funding opportunities, building and leading coalitions and management of program and project budgets.

Responsibilities
- Lead development and implementation of campaign strategies and work plans in cooperation with the Humane World for Animals Canada and Humane World Foundation Canada senior staff and Canadian and international colleagues (30%).
- Performs ongoing evaluation of campaign impact with senior staff, and collaborative adaptation of strategies as needed (5%).
- Provision of regular program progress reports and feedback to senior staff and international colleagues (5%).
- Participation in federal, provincial and municipal task forces and drafting of technical and other submissions for government and non-governmental bodies (10%).
- Management of campaign interns and volunteers to achieve program success (5%).
- Building and leading coalitions of diverse stakeholders and community engagement to advance program goals (10%).
- Identification of funding opportunities, sustained engagement with key funders and provision of reporting data (10%).
Effective Representation
Development of media strategies in conjunction with the Humane World for Animals Canada and Humane World Foundation Canada teams and drafting of key messages (5%).Serving as chief spokesperson for Humane World for Animals Canada and Humane World Foundation Canada wildlife protection campaigns, effectively representing the organizations and our work to all relevant stakeholders including government, media, donors and the public (5%).Drafting of news releases, opinion editorials, social media posts and other program communications materials, and maintenance of relationships with journalists (10%).Communication with the public including responses to inquiries (5%).Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.A minimum of five (5) years of experience in program leadership, management and execution in animal protection or an adjacent space.Proven track record of campaign advancement.Strong media and public relations skills.Broad base of contacts within animal protection, media and government.Proven track record of leading and working within effective teams.NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES :
