The opportunity

We are seeking an Assistant Manager, PPSA Administration , who is skilled and motivated to oversee PPSA administration. The candidate should have strong leadership skills, be a good communicator and team builder, and be committed to excellence. They will manage a team of five PPSA administrators and ensure compliance, efficiency, and accuracy in PPSA-related processes.

Areas of focus

Team Leadership and Development

  • Directly supervise, coach, and mentor a team of five PPSA administrators.
  • Coach team members navigate challenges and uncertainties, providing guidance and support.
  • Create a positive and inclusive working environment that encourages collaboration, innovation and personal growth.
  • Communicate job expectations, supervise and review job contributions. Acknowledge and reward employees.
  • Coach and lead employees, monitoring and managing performance, develop performance plans, set and review goals on an individual basis, and coach employees on their career development.
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new employees and the employee hiring process.
  • PPSA Process Management

  • Oversee the end-to-end process for PPSA registrations, renewals, amendments, and discharges.
  • Ensure all filings are accurate, timely, and compliant with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Stay up-to-date on PPSA legislation and ensure the team adheres to all regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain organized and accurate records of all PPSA activities
  • Implement best practices and innovative solutions for process improvement.
  • Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with internal departments, including legal, credit, and operations to support seamless PPSA administration.
  • Act as primary point of contact for resolving escalations and handling complex PPSA inquiries.
  • Qualification

  • At least 2 years of experience managing or supervising a team.
  • Post-secondary education in business administration, finance, or a related field.
  • Excellent proficiency in relevant software such as Microsoft Office.
  • Successful incumbent

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and motivate a team.
  • Ability to guide team members through uncertainty and foster resilience.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to multitask.
