Position : Technical Engineer - HFE - Human Factors Engineering

Location : Pickering ON (Hybrid)

Structure : Contract 36 months

Pay : $72.00 - $82.00 p / h inc.

Role Overview

This role supports large-scale nuclear facility modification programs by ensuring that equipment control systems and procedures are designed in a way that is safe intuitive and compliant with nuclear human-factors requirements. The engineer provides oversight of vendor HFE activities across design installation and commissioning phases ensuring human-system interfaces support safe and effective plant operation.

Deliverables

• Oversee and review vendor Human Factors Engineering (HFE) activities across engineering installation and commissioning phases
• Review and approve human-machine interface (HMI) designs control room changes and related human-factors documentation
• Perform and review HFE analyses such as task analysis workload assessment usability testing and verification & validation
• Support installation commissioning and readiness activities by reviewing completion and commissioning documentation
• Identify track and support resolution of significant HFE issues and support regulatory and inspection activities as required
