Responsibilities :

  • Work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
  • Perform pre-operational inspections.
  • Safely assess workplace hazards to determine a safe path to transport loads, ensuring all workers are aware of cranes approaching.
  • Follow detailed inventory list to prepare production lines.
  • Organize and maintain inventory using first in first out inventory method.
  • Operate remote control overhead crane safely, and efficiently.
  • Using overhead crane to move steel products in and around warehouse, on / off trucks.

Loads up to 22 tons (44000 lbs.)

  • Prepare and package steel parts for both production and distribution.
  • Use of ERP system (Steel Plus)
  • Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with other team members.
  • Perform general warehouse duties where required and as instructed.
  • Forklift and overhead crane experience is preferred but not a necessity.

    • Training is provided in house.

    Requirements :

  • Must be reliable and punctual
  • Applicants must have steel toe boots
  • Have a valid forklift license (Preferred)
  • Able to read orders and complete basic paperwork

    • Skills :

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong decision making & problem-solving skills
  • Dependable
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Flexible and ability to work within a team environment
  • Basic computer skills, Outlook, Word, basic Excel
  • Must be able to lift comfortably up to 50 lbs.
