On behalf of our client, we are currently recruiting a General Manager to join and lead their team of dedicated professionals based in Dieppe, NB. The General Manager is a key strategic leader responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, financial performance, and long-term growth of the organization. This role ensures operational excellence while driving forward the company's strategic objectives, supporting growth initiatives, and fostering a high-performance culture.
Responsibilities :
The General Manager is responsible for developing and executing the company’s long-term strategic plan to support sustainable growth, translating strategy into annual initiatives that cascade effectively throughout the organization. This position identifies emerging market opportunities and competitive advantages, leads organizational planning, budgeting and goal-setting processes, and champions innovation and continuous operational improvement. The role also oversees forecasting, budgeting and P&L accountability, using KPI analysis and financial statements to drive informed decision-making, proactively identifying financial risks, and implementing mitigation strategies while ensuring cost-effective operations that support profitability.
This role provides leadership to the senior leadership team by removing roadblocks, supporting effective decision-making and prioritizing key opportunities, while frequently communicating company strategy and goals to maintain organizational alignment. It is accountable for building and developing high-performing teams through coaching, development and succession planning, and for fostering a positive, inclusive and accountable workplace culture. The role promotes a strong customer-focused mindset to ensure exceptional service delivery and high customer satisfaction, strengthens relationships with partners, vendors and key stakeholders, and represents the organization professionally both internally and externally. Finally, the role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies, identifies and mitigates organizational risks, and oversees safety, quality and governance frameworks to support sustainable and responsible operations.
