This shunt schedule runs Monday to Thursday, 0530 to 1600, 30-minute unpaid lunch break
- Hourly rate: $22.75
- Hours of work might change from time to time according to operational demands
- Reporting directly to the Shunt Coordinator then the Property Services Supervisor
- Essential responsibilities are trailer movement, trailer staging, trailer quick-checks, and trailer greasing, along with other general shop/yard duties
- Responsible for operation of the forklift and assisting on the dock when needed. Training will be provided.
- Works closely with the Fleet Maintenance Manager, highway and city dispatch, maintenance and the warehouse on daily shunting activities
Candidate Profile
- Company Driver residing in Mississauga or immediate area
- Tractor-trailer over the road driving experience, minimum 12 months
- Shunt truck experience is an asset
- Well organized and possess excellent customer service skills
- Comfortable with smartphone technology for emailing and texting
- Comfortable backing in all manner of tight spaces and locations
- Valid Class 1/AZ License is required
- Reliable, flexible, and punctual
