Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Director of Resident Care, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides comprehensive nursing care to residents in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. The LPN offers clinical direction to Health Care Aides and other LPNs when charge responsibilities are assigned and practices within the scope of the Licensed Practical Nurses Act, the CLPNM Scope of Practice and Entry‑Level Competencies, provincial and federal legislation, and professional ethics. The LPN functions consistently with the mission, vision, and values of Betel Home.

Qualifications

• Active practicing licensure with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM) or eligibility for active practicing licensure.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) training.
• Demonstrated knowledge, competence, and ability to perform clinical nursing skills and concepts in accordance with approved nursing standards.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic software programs.
