Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of corporate commercial legal assistant experience, with strong transactional exposure
- Demonstrated experience with corporate minute books, annual returns, and registry filings
- Confident drafting documents and managing closing processes
- Skilled with Microsoft 365 (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams)
- Technologically curious and eager to learn new systems and tools
- Thoughtful, organized, and able to manage multiple responsibilities with care
- Good communicator with strong client service orientation
- Able to work independently while contributing positively to a small, supportive team
- Legal Assistant Diploma or equivalent experience preferred
Duties
This role is ideal for someone who has strong corporate commercial experience, enjoys transactional work, and is comfortable managing a variety of corporate tasks. You will play a key role in keeping our corporate practice running smoothly, and your organizational strength and attention to detail will make a noticeable impact every day.
This is an in‑office position.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare closing agendas, transactional documents, and reporting packagesDraft corporate commercial documents, including shareholder agreements and asset / share purchase agreementsConduct corporate due diligence searches and assist with organizing due diligence responsesi>
Assist with incorporations, amendments, continuances, dissolutions, and other BC and federal registry filingsManage calendars and deadlines to support smooth transaction flowPrepare correspondence, forms, and legal documents with accuracy and professionalismHandle billing, time entry, and general file managementOpen and close files in accordance with firm proceduresAssist with maintain corporate records and minute booksAssist with the preparation of annual returns, resolutions, and other corporate maintenance documentsProvide day-to-day support to two lawyers in the corporate / commercial practice groupWhat We Offer
