Detailed Job Description

The Facility Construction Management (FCM) departmentof the Infrastructure Services division has an opportunity for qualifiedindividuals to apply for the position of Facility Construction Management (FCM)Coordinator. Reporting to the Supervisor, Facility Construction Management(FCM) this position offers 76.5 hours bi-weekly starting as soon as possible.

The FCMCoordinator’s primary role is to provide administrative support to the FCMdepartment. This role is responsible for the administration of agreements;assisting in the development of procurement documents and publications; assigningand prioritize work orders; support with meetings including scheduling,minutes, and agendas; timekeeping; creating requisitions, allocating costs;communicating with stakeholders and other related administrative duties.

Qualifiedcandidates will possess a grade 12 diploma, additional courses in customerservice, administration, building or electrical systems and at least 3 years ofexperience in a similar administrative role in a dynamic office environment.The ideal candidate will have previous experience with local government,municipal and related office policies, practices and procedures and a varietyof computer software applications including Microsoft Office Suite. Qualifiedcandidates will also be familiar with building and electrical systems,financial and accounting practices, document management and data managementsystems.

The successfulcandidate will demonstrate skills as a fast-paced, detail oriented, andorganized individual amidst frequent interruptions who understands and stivesto provide quality customer service. The successful candidate will workeffectively under pressure, have excellent communication skills, and possessthe ability to problem solve, analyze in a professional manner. This role willdemonstrate commitment to promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace bycontributing to a positive team environment. The starting wage for this jobposition is $31.98 per hour.

As arequirement of the position, the successful applicant must hold a valid class 5BC driver’s license and must provide a satisfactory driver’s abstract and asatisfactory Police Information Check prior to beginning employment.
