Scope of the Position
Reporting to the President and CEO, this position’s primary responsibility is tobe involved in long-term strategic planning and the building and maintenance of key client relationships. You are a strong leader with experience managing a team of creative professionals. You also have the skills to estimate and manage budgets, brainstorm with the creative team, and understand conversations surrounding multimedia and web training.
Key Responsibilities / Functional Tasks
- Manage daily business activities in 2 or 3 of our largest retail clients
- Develop and execute both short and long-term strategies in partnership with our executive team
- Work hard at establishing and maintaining long-term client relationships
- Provide creative leadership and vision
- Take the initiative to identify new business opportunities with existing and potential clients
- Assist with decisions regarding technology and implementation
- Assist in the ongoing development and administration of tools, technologies or processes to improve cost efficiency
- Promote Catalyst’s reputation externally
- Manage a team of four / six people
Preferred Experience / Education
Degree or diploma in Marketing, Business or a related Communications fieldA minimum five years of management experience; knowledge of advertising and Interactive (web based) communications is an assetDemonstrated ability to work with business owners / executive teamExcellent, interpersonal, verbal and written communications skillsDemonstrated ability to work with a creative team (writers, designers etc)Effective problem-solving and mediation skillsHas worked in or around the retail industryAbility to present to executive levels of Fortune 500 companiesProficiency with Microsoft Office productsDemonstrated ability to multi-task and work in a fast- paced settingExperience writing and editing video and multimedia an assetExperience trouble shooting technical issues relating to multimedia / web would be beneficialProven abilityto work well under pressure and handle stress professionallyRemuneration and Benefits
