YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE

Reporting to the General Manager, Macassa, you will be part of the General Administration Department. You will be responsible for a wide range of executive-level administrative and professional support to the General Manager and Operational Leadership Team at Macassa.You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

  • Assist the General Manager with daily administrative duties and complete a broad variety of administrative tasks that include : Manage an active calendar of appointments; Complete expense reports; Compose and prepare correspondence; Arrange complex and detailed travel plans, itineraries, and agendas; Compile documents for meetings;
  • Communicate with the general staff on the GM’s behalf and coordinate logistics for high-level meetings both internally and externally;
  • Coordinate meetings and strategic activities with the Leadership Team;
  • Proactively provide high-level administrative support to the Leadership Team;
  • Compile and consolidate site-wide reports, including production, safety, and financial;
  • Plan and organize meetings and special functions;
  • Work in collaboration with the Regional and Corporate Offices to exchange information and meet deadlines;
  • Draft and review general correspondence, prepare presentations, memos, charts, tables, and graphs;
  • Make travel and accommodation arrangements;
  • Attend and record minutes of management meetings;
  • Maintain correspondence registry and action lists (Excel-based systems).

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • College Diploma or University Degree in Business Administration or related discipline;
  • Minimum 5 years’ professional experience in business or senior administrative roles;
  • Demonstrated experience where confidentiality and professionalism were an important aspect of the role;
  • SAP experience preferred;
  • Highly detail-oriented and exceptional organizational skills;
  • Excellent writting, listening and communication skills;
  • Experience in a cross-cultural working environment;
  • Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
