One of our manufacturing client in Windsor, ON is looking for a Quality Engineer for their plant.
Pay - $70-$110K
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain quality systems in compliance with IATF 16949 , ISO standards, and customer-specific requirements
Support APQP activities including PPAP , control plans, PFMEA, and process flow diagrams
Lead root cause analysis and corrective / preventive actions using tools such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone
Investigate internal, supplier, and customer quality issues and ensure timely resolution
Conduct internal audits and support external audits (customer, registrar, and supplier audits)
Monitor key quality metrics (scrap, rework, PPM, customer complaints) and drive continuous improvement
Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to improve product and process quality
Support new product launches and engineering changes
Review and approve inspection plans, work instructions, and quality documentation
Provide quality training and guidance to manufacturing personnel
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field)
5+ years of quality engineering experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of automotive core tools : APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA
Experience with IATF 16949 quality management systems
Proficient in root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with quality systems software is an asset
Preferred Qualifications :
CQE or other quality-related certification
Experience working with OEMs or Tier 1 automotive suppliers
Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
