Job Summary
The Team
Join the Fire Weather Forecast Team, an established group of up to 7 staff, providing critical weather forecasts that impact wildfire decision-making and safety. You'll work in a hybrid, collaborative environment where your expertise directly supports wildfire response, making a real-world difference.
As a regional weather expert on a provincial forecasting team, your insights will directly support BC Wildfire's safety and decision-making. If you're passionate about weather and enjoy teaching, this role offers a chance to make a meaningful impact while valuing diverse perspectives.

About this Position :

2 Positions available.
Positions available in Williams Lake and Smithers.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 2 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
Flexible work options may not be available during emergency operations response periods.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future permanent vacancies.
